MARY PAULINE HARTLINE (1) A

)Mary Pauline Hartline was born in 1926 at Hillsboro, Illinois. She was the second child of Paul and Dorothy Crowder Hartline. Her father was chairman of the Montgomery County Democratic Party, and Hillsboro’s postmaster.
Mary married Harold Stokes when she was 21, in June 1947. In 1951, she divorced Stokes and married George Barnard, her tax lawyer. She divorce George in 1960, married George Carlson. George Carlson died in 1960 and Mary married Woolworth Donahue, a grandson of F. W. Woolworth. Woolworth Donahue died in 1972.
In high school, Mary was elected “Queen of Love and Beauty” by her classmates. She graduated from Hillsboro High School.
From January, 1949, until the last week of December, 1955, Mary appeared weekly on "Super Circus", the ABC television network's premier Chicago origination (produced by its Chicago own & operated, WENR-TV). "Super Circus" aired Sundays from 4 to 5 pm, Central Time. The show was produced live, in the Civic Theater (adjacent to the Civic Opera House) before an audience of close to nine hundred moppets, all of whom were under the age of fifteen.

Mary Pauline Hartline died on May 5, 2014. The last years of her life were quiet and little publicity was given except for her obituary. She lived her last years in Hillsboro, Illinois.
