It is said that Henry M. was born in Germany. He may have lived in Illinois before settling in Missouri, as there was a Henry M. Hartline there a little earlier. It is not known at this time if he is connected to the other well established lines of Hartlines. We would like to know who his parents were if anyone has that information.

Audie’s family lived at Macedonia, then moved to Fort Payne, Alabama about 1939 then moved again to Boaz, Alabama about 1942. Audie went to school at Boaz and graduated from Boaz High School. She married shortly after graduation. She is talented musically, sings and plays piano and organ. She sang locally with Vestal Freeman, later Vestal Goodman of the Goodman Family.
Leon (Bill) Allen married Audie shortly after his military service and they lived near his father in Jackson County, Alabama for a while. They then moved to Boaz, Alabama where Bill worked for his brother-in-law, Red Hilly, in the trucking business. After a few years, Bill became a minister in the Church of God and pastored a church in Dillon, South Carolina. He then moved to start a new church in Leslie, South Carolina.
In 1972, his father in failing health, Bill exchanged pastorates with another minister and settled at a church near his father in the Macedonia community, Jackson County, Alabama.
Bill Allen passed away and later, Audie married again to Rev. Jimmy Hodgens.
Jimmy died July 28, 2012.
